Floral Haven
Floral Pattern Collection for Matching Parent and Child Gardening Materials
This collection of four patterns are inspired by ornate gardens and is intended to be used on matching parent and child gardening materials such as aprons and hats.
Above are the main colors of the collection. The colors for this collection were picked specifically from photographs of gardens. Picking the colors was a balance so that they were not too bright for the parents but also youthful enough to appeal to the children as well.

End Uses

These are texture mapped images with my patterns showcasing their intended use.
These images of products were found on Google.
Alternate Colorway
This is the same collection of patterns in an alternate colorway inspired by fall mums and pumpkins.
Process

The motifs were handmade on paper and then scanned into the computer and cleaned. The green hedges were created using markers and the colored flowers were made using gouache and cotton swabs.

After I cleaned and color reduced the motifs, I created my different repeats in Kaledo Print software.
I then took the designs into Kaledo Print's Colorways Studio where I was able to test out different background colors. I changed the colors of the backgrounds multiple times for each design to give them variation from each other but also keep them cohesive.
After I finalized the patterns, I used texture mapping to see my patterns on their intended use of gardening products.
